Josh Branum serves as the Governmental Affairs Director for Greater Chattanooga REALTORS®, where he connects REALTORS® and community leaders to the public policies that shape housing, property rights, and local quality of life. He works closely with elected officials, regional partners, and association members to advocate for practical, pro-housing solutions and to keep REALTORS® informed on issues that impact their business and their clients. In his role, Josh supports RPAC engagement, coordinates candidate outreach and interviews, and tracks city, county, and state actions related to zoning, infrastructure, school capacity, and economic development. He’s known for translating complex policy into clear takeaways, asking thoughtful questions, and building relationships across the aisle to find common ground and real solutions.Josh is passionate about strengthening neighborhoods through thoughtful planning, transparent governance, and a healthy real estate market. He often returns to the idea that politics is “the organization of our shared lives together,” and he brings that perspective to his work every day: less noise, more problem-solving. Outside of work, Josh is married to his wife, Amanda, and they have three children (and a few dogs who keep the household lively). He’s also a musician and vocalist, and when he’s not tracking legislation or meeting with stakeholders, you’ll often find him making music, leading worship, or enjoying time with his family around Chattanooga.
